Anyway, for today Korean Language Institute Episode 3 I am going to introduce……

Korea University Korean Language Center

The Korea University Korean Language Center (KLC) is a specialized educational institution of Korean Language and culture. It was established on March 1 in 1986 with the goal of introducing the Korean language and culture to the world in line with the rising status of South Korea. Approximately 50,000 international students and overseas Koreans have attended KLC training programs to learn about Korean language, society and culture.

Here is the link of KLC:

One semester consists of 10 weeks (200 hours), from Monday to Friday for 4 hours a day. From 1 to 4 level. For Regular courses there are morning classes as well as afternoon classes.

If you are interested in studying Autumn semester, don’t hesitate!!! Application period it’s until 31st July, 2015. Hurry up and take you time~

Here’s information about the tuition fee.

This is the time table of Regular Program.

This is the time table of Short-term Program

For other Korean Language Institutes Short-term program, usually they used “Listening”, “Speaking”, “Reading” and “Writing” these kind of terms for their classes. But for KLC, it is little different from others, so let Mr. Tom tell you in details.

Korean 1: Topic-related vocabulary and grammar through speaking

Korean 2: Focuses on topic-related functions of Korean (reading, writing, listening, and speaking)

Electives: Classes selected by students

Intensive Korean: includes practical Korean, drama, K-pop, vocabulary, and grammar

Korean Cultural Activities: include Korean cooking, traditional crafts, and samulnori
(*Electives will be canceled if there are too few applicants.)

Cultural Class: includes a Seoul city tour and field trip

It seems fun and interesting for their extra-curricular activities!! (I also want to join too >3<)

One special thing is that they have classes specially for Japanese, so if you curious about that class just write us message, I will let you know more about that~

Please remember these three buildings, even though they’re not that big but you need to recognize them when you go there. KKK

A tips for you, it is much more convenience to take the subway to KLC.

Take the subway to Anam Station (Seoul Subway Line 6) and get out from Exit 2 ^^

This is the picture that I took last time when I visit Korea University. I went there to submit the application of admission for my client.

Summiting the materials needed.
Here is the Application Submission Center.

Play hard but also study hard until University, OK?

Don’t you feel familiar for the place in this picture? It’s seems like the place which appear in the movie of “Harry Potter”~ (Harry Potter big fan kkk)

Campus “LARGE”, Students “Many”, Atmosphere “GOOD”
=
Isn’t it good to study here?

Lots of students planned to study in this campus which is located in Sejong city with long history. If you also want to choose this school, Sehong City GOGOGO~
Now, with Yonsei University Korean Language Institute (KLI) and Korea University Korean Language Center (KLC) these two schools. I know you must be frustrated of choosing which schools. That’s a big CHALLENGE for you, think it deeply and choose carefully.

Time passes so quickly, it’s time to say Goodbye now. Have a nice day~ Chao!!

Korean Language Institute Episode 2 - Sogang University

(Korean Correspondent – Mr. Tom)
Korean Language Institute Episode 2
Sogang University

Hello Everyone!!!!! Mr. Tom is back~

Have you been waiting long?

Today, it’s the time to introduce a new Korean Language Institute to all of you.

The lucky one is………Sogang University~

Come with me and take a look of that. Let’s GO!!!

Sogang Univeristy Korean Language Education Center was established in 1990 and aims at making Korean culture and the Korean language more widely known throughout the world. Since then, around 10,000 foreigners who come to study the Korean language and Korean culture have registered. Presently, about 1,300 students enroll in this institute each year.

With long history and the number of students keep growing each year. Especially for Japanese students, the ratio of enrollment is really high. “本当に” kkkkkk

This is the homepage of Sogang Univeristy Korean Language Education Center

“Click this out”

The schedule of 2015-2016 Academic Year are as follow:

Summer Term is already started!!! I have been to orientation day and was shocked by the number of students [–-] “Many, Many, Many”

The program is up to Level 7~ It is surprising that students can speak well Korean then locals just only within short period of time!!!

You won’t feel boring of studying the language program here. The reason is, other than the standard class, they do provide varieties of extra-curricular activities!!! E.g. cooking class, cultural experience activites etc. Through the activities you may know more about the Korean Culture^^

For my perspectives, I strongly recommend the cooking class kkkk

So, how can I get to Sogang University??

You may choose to get off from the Gyeongui Station (Seoul Subway Gyeongui-Jungang Line). But the fastest way is to take off at Sinchon Station (Seoul Subway Line 2) and walk there. You may see the main gate right after~

The place of {Number 1} is the school main gate, walk straight and turn right you can see Arrupe Hall and Sogang Building. So you are going to study “Here”

Move to 9th floor of Arrupe Hall and there is a cabinet showing the text books of the program required.

Here’s the detail information about the text books that will be used.

Here is the notice board, hope we can post our company’s leaflet here[>3<] Please introduce and recommend our company to your friends OK?

Sorry for bad image quality…ㅠㅠ
Here is the office of the Korean Language Education Center.
If you have any questions just visit there or you may ask us for help before the enrollment of the program. KKKK

Mr. Tom Tips
Compare to other Korean Language Institute, Sogang University Korean Language Education Center is much more emphasis on Speaking. The purpose of learning a new language is to communicate with others, right? So this institute provide you with lots of chance to practice speaking.

Other than that, the institute is close to station, you can get there easily. Also, as I said before the ratio of Japanese students is high. But the number of student from other countries keep increasing, so you can enjoy studying with peoples from all over the world.

Satisfaction of this institute is high in my point of view!!! I always visit there and most of my friends are studying in Sogang too~

All in all, no matter where are you studying if you put effort in it your ability of speaking Korean can be improved within short period of time .

See you next time~
